Greetings Family and Friends of Anointed Word,

God is so faithful to HIS WORD. I believe that this new year will bring great success and harvest to families (in a whole) that calls upon the name of the Lord. This year, God has laid upon my heart to focus on the family. He made it extremely clear that families have to return to Him as a unit. However, it has to be the family’s willing choice to embrace the fullness of God. Joshua 24:15 (Message Bible) states, “If you decide that it’s a bad thing to worship GOD, then choose a god you’d rather serve—and do it today. Choose one of the gods your ancestors worshiped from the country beyond The River, or one of the gods of the Amorites, on whose land you’re now living. As for me and my family, we’ll worship GOD.”

The world has influenced the family and their commitment to each other and God. It is becoming more common to see families in a broken state and it’s deemed acceptable. Husbands and wives are at odds, children are not obeying, no one is really happy, and all parties of the family are going about their daily lives miserably. In addition, in the past, it was common to see family units going to church, fellowshipping with other believers and worshipping God. However, nowadays one member in the family may attend church and fellowship with others, while the remaining sees no need to attend worship.

My prayer this year for our ministry and the body of Christ is that God becomes even the more glorified and lifted high in every household. I decree that every household will grow together in love, unity, faith, relationships, etc. I decree that there will be no division in the homes. The Bible states in Genesis 2:24 “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." Malachi 4:5b, “He will convince parents to look after their children and children to look up to their parents.” (Message Bible)

I believe that as we continue to rebuild our families (God’s way) we will see our lives become more fruitful. We will hear more laughter, experience forgiveness, accept and embrace change, reassure unity, and see the hand of God at constant work in our homes. Let the all families that are true worshippers of God declare that this is the year that they will see God move in their homes! And it is so!

Our base scripture for the year is “…As for me and my family, we’ll worship GOD.” Joshua 24:15b Message Bible
